All Things Beautiful...Through My Kaleidoscope

Welcome to my page of reflections on the mandala art of Henry Reed. Long ago, I envisioned my writing as viewing life through my looking glass…my kaleidoscope. I love the way the picture changes, with each turn of the scope. Yet, it’s always unique and beautiful. After long enjoying Henry’s mandalas in my daily email, I discovered that, beyond looking at the artwork, I was feeling prompted to write words from my heart regarding what was going on in my life. I began my own daily affirmations, or reflections…and posting them here, beginning in August 2009. ~ Nov. 13, 2011, Henry completed his 7th year -- 2,556 mandala paintings -- thus completing a circle. A new one begins. Hope you'll tune in to watch what develops in this blog space of Henry Reed, SusanGail and ATB ~ It's a journey of intuitive heart.

MANDALA ART BY HENRY REED FROM ARCHIVES OF THE DAILY MANDALA

Note to visitors of All Things Beautiful...

Below you will see my reflections on The Daily Mandala from the archives, beginning with Nov. 13, 2004...progressing gradually onward to Nov. 13, 2007, when Henry concluded his seven-year series. To see the newest mandalas, scroll down the archives...to where I first began the reflections in 2009. So, I've a long way to go before I sleep, in these mandala woods, so lovely, dark and deep!

The Daily Mandala: October 30, 2010

I'm reminded today by two new friends, to walk the totem path to my own tree. Daily I walk, daily I talk to the trees. And in my song, they listen to me. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 29, 2010

Many squares in the circle of my life paint its awesome prism, in colors that are magnificent and strong. I'm confident in the abundant power of this beautiful web of interconnectedness. My rose-colored glasses view golden light...with much mining of diamonds remaining, to fill in the painting. I'm ready to roll up my sleeves, and make it so. ~ ATB

Perhaps if the message is loud enough,
I will hear it, get it.
I'll for once realize the power
to readjust, realign, reinvent...
creating a supportive network
around me. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 27, 2010

Autumn splendor reverberates through my soul,
bringing Nature's beautiful contrasts
of crimson and gold letting go of branches,
revealing purifying pine
to stay the course of winter.
The wisdom of indigo-purple sky at dusk
stirs my heart to listen to wind's envisioning
of the future, in anticipation of
the possibilities before me. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 26, 2010

Caught within a superstorm of colliding thoughts and people, I feel like a turbo-charged superconductor of an electrified field of forces...combining, swooping, swirling winds together into a harmonic orchestra of power, light and beauty. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 25, 2010

I feel light and happy when I'm taking charge of my life. My affairs spin along...joyfully, playfully, amazingly. When I'm bright and clear about my journey, I can see the destination. No fidgeting, no gum-chewing, no stalling, no procrastination. As chairman and CEO of me, I speak my mind freely, and hang on for the ride. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 24, 2010

Unexpected challenges may arrive in my life when I least expect them. Words spoken in anger may rise to the surface. Powerful words, that I'm not prepared to hear. Thankfully, in the center of my being, there is the still, small voice soothing my heart. I can listen, now, to the words, heed their meaning, yet remain serenely true to the me I've come to be. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 23, 2010

Staggering, wild-eyed, and a wee bit woozy, I struggle to awaken to the work I know I must do. Let us get up and moving, I tell myself. Time to run the race before you. Wake up to the power, the color of your dreams. Get your stuff in order, rearrange, revise, revitalize. Wake up! Wake up!! Get on with the show!!! ~ ATB

A healing balm reaches across the expanse of my heart as I SEE that All IS LOVE to eternity in being me. Open and receptive to divine insight, I can be the channel through which this healing wind blows...to SMILE the spirit of renewal in all that I create. ~ ATB

Miracles in all directions arrive in my day when I take time to notice them. In gratitude, I appreciate such beautiful days. Days filled with beautiful moments...being in the right place, at the right time, with the right people...and as a wonderful friend wished me this morning, "with God smiling over my shoulder." ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 19, 2010

Being whimsical, relaxing into play...like a child with a favorite toy...helps me remember that it's possible, with my imagination, to fly off to magical places. It is there that I can find my heart again. When things seem out of sync in my life, I can be the bouncing ball, the whirling pinwheel, the spinning top. I can flip upside down, turn inside out, if I want. I can be me. I can be free. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 16, 2010

Lost and found: When I feel lost in the jungle, or I've lost something and cannot find it, prayerfully I search for the main road, the one with the stairway to the heavens. It could be in my dreams. It could be a daydream. They say that nothing is lost in the mind of God. May it be so. ~ ATB

Spinning your wheels may slow you down, yet you you must keep your wheels spinning to continue your journey. Spinning to a stop, once in awhile, offers the pause that refreshes, bringing lightness of spirit for this balancing act we're on every day. Keeping your wheels spinning, creatively and joyously, requires regular soul maintenance. Why does it often take a little break-down for us to remember? ~ ATB

Woods, water, sky contrast in autumnal blue-russet beauty. White cloud trails paint the finishing touches to the wondrous season of exploding colors and the gathering in of Nature's bountiful harvest. The Daily Mandala: October 13, 2010

The mystery of history binds us together through time and space. The river flows...bending and moving us, ebbing and churning us...channeling us, washing our spirits ashore. Onward the blue water flows, drifting with spirit, carrying us with it. We sense no beginning, no ending...only journeying...on as the river goes. - ATB

A few of my favorite things'~ I love
basking in the glow of my favorite colors...
the magnetic magenta passion of fuchsia
infuses my heart's plum-purple radiance
with regal energy. Within that magical realm,
the vivid vortex of possibilities shouts:
All Systems Gloriously Green!

The Daily Mandala: October 8, 2010

Opening to spirit, I feel softly subdued by the gentle blend of ideas whirring through my mind. Patiently, I wait for them to gather color and speed. For now, I relax into the moment... of wonderment in their appearance on the canvas of my heart,... knowing the creative expression will fan the words and paint the picture. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 7, 2010

 On edge.
What seemed a beautiful, organized plan, sometimes becomes muddled and fuzzy...an impressionist painting in my mind. The ideas are still there, the insight is good, the plan is bold and true. Yet, I feel on a fuzzy edge, or ledge...leading edge? As if something monumental is about to happen. Am I ready? ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 6, 2010

Against the panorama of darkness, the ultimate light pattern emerges. In the blackness of space, I behold the beauty, the music, the magic...the colors, sound and light spectacle of the universe. As a wise person I knew of once said, "Sit back, relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy the show!" ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 3, 2010

Autumn swirls around me, blowing gusts of brilliance. Leaves leave, yet I savor the season. Thoughts of home fires and spiced cider simmering bring nostalgic reflections, as summer flowers fade into picture-book memory. Slowing down, yet speeding up at the same time, shifting currents in the wind bring new insights. I stoke the fires, stare into the flames, and wonder at the new beginnings I see. - ATB

The Daily Mandala: October 2, 2010

Connecting the dots on the road less traveled. What an exciting time, knowing I'm off on some far-flung adventure, with beautiful possibilities and wonderful things waiting to be created... and revealed. Yet, there are all those dots out there in the field...in the mosaic of my life. Learning to make sense of them, realizing the potential in them, getting my 'ducks in a row.' Ah, that is the ultimate task. But, as it is written: "He has made everything beautiful in its time." - ATB
