I lift my wings to the wind, like a feathered bird to the sky. 

I gather my strength from the turmoil inside; 

and I see it's the wisdom within me, 

crying to break free...no longer to hide.

The coldness of a winter night filters through my frosty lashes. I see dimly beyond the self-imposed fence that twines around my heart sometimes. I pull the scarf tighter, warmer. Still, I welcome the faded dusk at twilight. I don't have to see brightly; I can sense the field before me, as I weave among the trees.
